e are always happy to hear from parents who wish to give thanks for the birth of their child. Sometimes the most authentic way to give thanks will be through a service of thanksgiving. Such a service can be arranged to suit your needs, and can be held either in church, or at another location such as your home or even a beach. A service of thanksgiving does not imply any further commitment to the church, but acknowledges the natural desire to give thanks to God for the wonder of a new child being born. The fee for a Service of Thanksgiving is $100. Please ring the Parish Office on 43331347 and leave your details, and a staff member will contact you.

It may be appropriate to celebrate your child's birth with a service of baptism. By baptism your child will become a member of the Christian Church with all the privileges and responsibilities which that implies. If you would like your child to be baptised, please call the Parish Office on 43441347 to arrange for one of our lay team to visit you. They will seek to introduce you to one of our congregations and explain a little bit about the church you are asking for your child to join. If you decide to go ahead with the baptism, one of our clergy will then visit you to talk about the service itself and what it signifies You will need to appoint two or more godparents, who must be over 18 and have been baptised themselves. There is no fee for a baptism, but it is customary to make a donation of about $100.
