"Heart to Heart: A way of living our lives in the light of Scripture"
Parish Retreat 2008 August 1-3 at St. Joseph's Retreat Centre Kincumber.

Our retreat this year is led by Revd. Philip Carter. Philip Carter has been an Anglican Priest for 35 years. He is married to Helen and they have three adult daughters. He has been a Parish Priest, Pastoral Chaplain to St Barnabas Theological College in Adelaide, and an Examining Chaplain. He ran the Adelaide Diocesan Retreat House for ten years, and is currently director of the Julian Centre, an independent, ecumenical spirituality centre in Adelaide. He is the President of the Australian Ecumenical Council for Spiritual Direction. He is an experienced Retreat conductor and spiritual director.

Philip writes:
"I am thinking of doing something on Contemplative living and reading of the Scriptures. I'm thinking of being quite practical and offering experience of Lectio Divina, imaginative use of a Scripture passage, and an Ignatian look at Examen or Review of Day. The Retreat is intended to be a time of encouragement and exploration, learning to live contemplatively and imaginatively, open to the Spirit of God speaking to us through our lives and through the Scriptures."

The cost of the retreat, which includes all meals and ensuite accommodation form Friday night to Sunday lunch, is $220. If you would like to go please contact the Parish Office as soon as possible on 43441347

Little Pelicans 2
Following the success of our toddler group at St Andrews, a second group at St Luke's began in February this year. The group meets every week in term time for 1.5 hours, and includes playtime, morning tea, craft, storytime and time with Prayer Bear. All children under school age and their carers welcome.

Why not come to both groups, or have flexibility to choose each week?

Square Dancing Group
This new friendly group is open to all. It meets every Thursday night in our air-conditioned St Luke's Hall.
