O

ur weekday services all offer something different. Is one of them for you?

Holy Eucharist
Wednesday 11.30am St Andrew's Umina

Realising that early morning is a difficult time for many older people, and indeed parents with young children, we have begun a Eucharist on a Wednesday at 11.30am, which is always followed by a substantial lunch. From small beginnings we have grown to about twenty and everyone enjoys this cheerful service, which is especially helpful to the frail and those who have recently come out of hospital, and need a service which is short (just thirty minutes), yet still has a short sermon and two hymns.

Sanctus
Wednesday 7.30pm St. Luke's Woy Woy

Sanctus provides a space for God in the midst of our busy lives and week. It is shaped around the singing of chants, mostly from the Taize community and from the work of Trish Watts, and includes a very brief reflection and the opportunity of a substantial space of silence for meditation. The sanctuary area of the church is decorated with bright fabrics and beautiful candles, and participants are invited to sit either on comfortable chairs or on the carpeted floor.

Holy Eucharist
Thursday 8.30am St Luke's Woy Woy

This short said eucharist began as an opportunity for those who volunteer in our office and shops to share worship together on a regular basis. It is now open to all and allows those for whom the sacraments are central to receive communion during the week. It is a very simple celebration, held in the intimate atmosphere of the side chapel.

Senior Citizen's Service
1st Wednesday of the month 1.30pm St Luke's Woy Woy

This brief half hour service, with hymns is followed by a wonderful afternoon tea in St. Luke's Hall. It exists to reach out to those elderly and frail folk no longer able to attend Sunday worship. A number of residents from Hammond Care join us for this service and a good time is had by all.
