Welcome from our staff team

Hi, and welcome to our website.

Murray Woolnough

My name is Murray, and it’s great to be able to welcome you to our website. I’m the priest-in-charge of the Parish of Woy Woy and have been here since August 2011. Before that I lived and worked in England.

The members our parish and I would love to welcome you to one of our regular services. We have two parish centres: one at St Luke’s in Woy Woy and the other at St Andrew’s in Umina Beach. Please feel free to visit whichever church is closest to you.

Like any sports team or club, we value spending time together and doing things that are really important to us. At our church services, we give thanks to God for all that he has given us and we learn about the teachings of Jesus Christ and think about how we can live the way he taught us to. We really believe that his teachings are the key to a satisfying life and we have found that they give us meaning and purpose in our lives.

Fr Peter Mumford is our associate priest and has worked here since 2007. Before that he worked as Senior Anglican Chaplain to the NSW Police, and as an Army Reserve Chaplain, as well as serving in parish ministry in Muswellbrook, Taree, Murrurundi and Beresfield.

When you contact our parish office, you will probably be speaking to Annette, our parish administrator, or one of our other office volunteers: Sari, Hendrina or Jean. If you would like to find out more about what we can offer you, please don’t hesitate to get in contact with us, either through the office, or by email. Details on our contact page.
