Worship services

All of our worship services are unique. Find out which one is best for you!

Sunday

8am – Morning worship at St Andrew’s, Umina Beach

This weekly sung celebration of Holy Communion attracts those seeking a small friendly congregation, who are strongly mutually supportive. Morning tea after the service is always exceptional and newcomers are warmly welcomed!

10am – Holy Eucharist at St Luke’s, Woy Woy

This is a traditional sung Eucharist, with crucifer, acolytes and vestments. The building and music lend themselves to a quiet yet intimate celebration, in which the intelligent preaching of the Word is given equal importance with the liturgy. There is a strong focus on Social Justice and the congregation seeks to reach out to all in need.

5pm – Sunday Night Live at St Andrew’s Umina

This service is aimed towards  families, and is a place where young and old can find a warm and friendly place to worship. This is a time of study, discussion and music, as well as craft and learning for children. Further details here.

Wednesday

11:30am – Midweek Eucharist at St Andrew’s Umina

We realise that early morning is a difficult time for many older people and for parents with young children, so we have begun a Eucharist on a Wednesday at 11.30am, which is always followed by a tasty lunch. From small beginnings we have grown to about twenty and everyone enjoys this cheerful service. It is especially helpful for the frail and those who have recently come out of hospital, and who need a service which is short (just thirty minutes), yet still has a reflection on the Bible readings and three hymns.

1:30pm on the First Wednesday of the month – Senior Citizens’ Service

This brief half hour service, with hymns is followed by a wonderful afternoon tea in St Luke’s Hall. It exists to reach out to elderly folk no longer able to attend Sunday worship. A number of residents from Hammond Care join us for this service and a good time is had by all.

Thursday

8.30am – Early Morning Eucharist – St Luke’s, Woy Woy

This short said eucharist began as an opportunity for those who volunteer in our office and shops to share worship together on a regular basis. It is now open to all and allows those for whom the sacraments are central to receive communion during the week. It is a very simple celebration, held in the intimate atmosphere of the side chapel.

We would love to see you at one of our services – please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any further questions. Our church locations are given here.
